RIGID VINYL (PVC)  -  INDIGO

Rigid Vinyl

General Characteristics

  • High quality, easy printing substrate

  • An inexpensive, versatile material available in countless configurations

  • Compatible with coated materials where overlays are required

  • Handles well in most fabrication processes including die-cutting, embossing, thermoforming and hot stamping

  • Outstanding flexural durability and character height retention

  • Excellent weatherability, UV resistance and chemical tolerance in outdoor applications

 

Finishes & Grains

Matte/Matte (stock surface)

Slightly textured surface available in 14 stock colors and 4 stock Gauges. Matte is the most popular finish for all products, compatible with screen-printing, foil stamping, and sonic welding. Custom colors are available with PMS color matching and custom sizes and gauges to meet any possible specifications.

 

Gloss/Gloss (stock surface)

Stocked in White, Black and Clear, and corona treated to ensure that your ink sticks; all colors are also available on special order with custom color matching.

 

Velvet/Gloss (stock surface)

An affordable alternative to Polycarbonate, this surface combination provides the easy printability of corona treated gloss vinyl with the scratch resistance of a velvet surface.

 

Box Lid Grade (custom)

Available from gauges .007-.020, box lid grade vinyl allows for perfect, non-whitening scores and folds on a printable surface; combine with Velvet/Matte surfaces and you have a low cost polycarbonate alternative.

 

Copolymer (custom; matching or specs required)

Specialty "card" grade, used to bond substrates in lamination; custom configuration to match your temperatures and bake times.

 

Forming Grade (custom)

Specialty grade, used in forming applications.

Styrene

General Characteristics

  • The low cost POP sign standard for temporary indoor and outdoor use

  • Available in a wide variety of gauges and stock sizes

  • Excellent coating, metalizing, die-cutting and heat bending characteristics

  • High heat distortion temperature and excellent low temperature toughness

 

Finishes & Grades

Matte/Matte (stock surface)

slightly textured surface available in nine stock gauges. Stock colors include white, black and yellow. Various levels of opaqueness from Translucent and Double Opaque (referred to as our standard white) to Dead White.

Matte/Gloss (custom)

corona treated to ensure high dyne levels.

Litho Grade (custom)

a special mixture and corona treated suface to make certain that your traditional and UV inks will stick.

POLYCARBONATE  -  INDIGO

Polycarbonate

General Characteristics

  • High performance in applications that require optimum thermal, optical, mechanical and electrical characteristics

  • Manufactured to exacting tolerances that meet or exceed the most exact requirements as it pertains to gauge, gloss level and surface texture control

  • Handles well in most fabrication processes including die cutting, embossing, thermoforming and hot stamping

  • Unparalleled flame-retardant properties for displays

  • Exceptional light diffusing characteristics in automotive applications

  • Outstanding chemical resistance and actuation life in membrane switches

  • Excellent weatherability, UV resistance and chemical tolerance in outdoor applications

 

 

POLYETHYLENE  -  INDIGO

Polyethylene

General Characteristics

  • Durable, low cost plastic material

  • Surface will not wrinkle despite severe temperature changes; weather resistant, withstanding exposure to most chemicals

  • Long-life, flexible hinges, that will not break or tear (does stress whiten)

  • Variety of Surface Textures and Finishes including matte (stock); soft crush and porcelain

  • 8 stock colors: white, black, frost, yellow, orange, ivory, light blue, dark blue, green, red and gray, with color matching available (500 lb. min.)

  • Stock gauges include .023, .035 .055 and .075; available gauges from .014 to .180

  • 100% Recyclable

 

Finishes & Grains

Matte (100 Grain)

slightly textured surface available in 13 stock colors and 4 stock gauges. Easily printed, foil stamped and hot welded.

Soft Crush (600 Grain)

lightly textured, leather-like look and feel. Takes well to screen and offset printing, sonic welding, foil stamping, and many other decoration and assembly methods.

Porcelain or Smooth (000 Grain)

a relatively new finish for polyolefins. Porcelain/Smooth is ideal for detailed screen or offset graphics on a shiny, extremely smooth surface reminiscent of fine porcelain china.

Lined

a new grain/pattern with raised diagonal lines across the substrate. Used with Polypropylene to give a vintage, retro look.

K-Silk

the most innovative material brought to market! DuraSilk is a lightweight heavy-duty material with a textured pattern.

POLYPROPYLENE  -  INDIGO

Polypropylene

General Characteristics

  • Clear, low cost and durable Plastic Material

  • Has most of the properties of polyethylene: wrinkle, weather and chemical resistance
    Note: Polypropylene will fracture when impacted.

  • A completely transparent sheet, similar to rigid PVC material

  • Long-life, flexible hinges, that will not break or tear (does stress whiten)

  • Variety of Surface Textures and Finishes including matte/matte, matte/smooth, & lined/smooth

  • Available in several thicknesses from .016 to .075 gauge. Industry standard gauges are .020 and .030

  • Polypropylene can be produced clear, clear with colored tints or in solid colors. Color matching the material to any color is available

  • 100% Recyclable

 

 

POLYESTER (MYLAR)  -  INDIGO

SYNTHETIC PAPER  -  INDIGO

Synthetic Paper

General Characteristics

  • A calendared plastic sheet that is a unique mixture of clay (calcium carbonate) & polypropylene resin.

  • Feels, looks, prints, and fabricates like paper, but with the durability and tear resistance of plastic.

  • Dimensionally stable and can withstand temperatures ranging form –60°F to +200°F and resistant to cracking, abrasion, shrinking or any distortion in color or sheet size

  • 100% waterproof and will not be affected by moisture or humidity

  • Offers superior tear and resistance over paper​

  • Easily washable with a a damp cloth when removing stains such as grease, oil, foods, soft drinks, soaps, and/or detergents

 

 

PETG  -  INDIGO

PETG

General Characteristics

  • A sparkling clear, durable and very rigid plastic material with high impact strength and strong resistance to abrasions

  • Tough enough to handle the abuses of an active consumer environment

  • Easy to fabricate--it drills, routs and cuts (die, saw and guillotine) without cracking or splintering, and can be cold or heat bent, and thermoformed without stress whitening, hazing or pre-drying

  • Allows easy viewing of contents and optimal packaging flexibility

  • Resists weathering, common cleaners and other harsh chemicals

  • Cost effective: replaces more expensive materials such as glass, acrylic or polycarbonate and weighs less than glass and breaks only under the most extreme circumstances, reducing the cost of packaging materials, ruined pieces and shipping

  • Easy and safe to handle, minimizing liability concerns associated with broken fixtures, signs and displays

  • Environmentally safe and 100% recyclable

APET/RPET  -  INDIGO
